| Description | Go pro with the Lorac pro palette. Created by celebrity makeup artist carol Shaw, this pro artistry palette is packed with 8 shimmer and 8 matte eye shadows in all the shades you need to create the hottest looks straight from the red carpet. Lorac's velvety smooth shadows are infused with soothing botanicals and are ultra pigmented to perform wet or dry so you can shade, shadow, line and define your eyes, just like a pro. | | | | Surprisingly few pressed makeup palettes contain wearable matte shadows--although I love brands like Urban Decay, all their palettes tend to contain shimmery or glittery eyeshadows. Mattes seem to be a little harder to pull off that shimmery shadows--cheaply made mattes tend to be chalky or poorly pigmented. Pink: a pale, rose-toned pink (matte)Mauve: a mauve taupe; looks brown in the palette, but has purple undertones (matte)Sable: a richly saturated earth-toned brown (matte)Espresso: a veeryy dark brown, almost indistinguishable from black except that it has brown undertones (matte)... | | | | | Throughout the Christmas season and a few months after this palette was sold out everywhere. I love color, but some day I like to keep it soft. The color payoff is top notch as is the feel and blendability. And to have 8 matte shades in colors that are useable is incredible.Yes, they are very powdery, but most mattes are. And as a makeup artist I have learned the trick with matte shades is to pat the brush into the product and avoid rubbing. Both in picking up product and when applying. This decreases wasted product as well as fallout. And I highly advise trying the shimmer wet. I use MAC Fix + and spray it directly onto my brush then dip the brush into the shadow and pat it... | | | |
